LIVE ANIMAL CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS
Classroom presentations are approximately one hour long, and content varies depending on grade level. Focus is on Alberta wildlife with live animals brought to the classroom for a hands on, up close learning experience. Students have the opportunity to get to know their "visitors". Lots of interesting facts. Lots of time for questions.
Our Specialty is Native Species.
"BUTTERFLIES & BUGS" - What is the difference between a butterfly and a moth? How do they eat? Butterfly life cycle stages are displayed along with a selection of other arthropods: Tarantulas, Scorpions, Hissing Cockroaches, and more!
"REPTILES & AMPHIBIANS" - How many kinds of toads do we have in Alberta? How many kinds of frogs? Snakes? Toads, slamanders and snakes visit for a "hands on" learning experience with focus on Alberta wildlife.
"WORMS & THE DECOMPOSERS" - How to set up a Worm Composter using red wiggler worms (Vermicomposting), and much more! Focus is on how our decomposers and recyclers clean up our world.
